At SLEEP’N Atocha, every stay can help to plant trees in partnership with Reforesta and Retree.
Small gestures from our guests make a real difference to the planet.
Travelling is no longer just about discovering new places, but also about deciding what impact we leave on them. At SLEEP’N Atocha, we believe that every stay can be part of something bigger. That’s why we’ve been taking part in an initiative that continues to grow: our forest, launched in partnership with Reforesta and Retree. Every visitor has the opportunity to contribute to a real and tangible impact in the Community of Madrid.
Thanks to the involvement of our guests and partners, we have planted 1,765 trees in the Community of Madrid, of which 1,354 were planted through Reforesta and 411 through Retree. Places such as Navacerrada, El Vellón, Tres Cantos and Valdemaqueda have become small green oases where nature is reclaiming its space.
In the 2025/2026 season alone, 231 trees were planted in Valdemaqueda and 58 in Rivas Vaciamadrid, demonstrating that even the simplest gestures, such as foregoing room cleaning for a day, can have a positive and lasting effect
Our forest has already absorbed 5,530 kg of CO₂, equivalent to around 14 flights between Madrid and London, and continues to capture carbon in real time at a rate of 2,019.50 g per hour. Its potential is even greater: it could absorb up to 399.44 tonnes of CO₂, which would be equivalent to more than 150 car journeys between Madrid and Beijing.
Since 2019, we have offset 150.12 tonnes of CO₂ through other international reforestation and conservation projects, such as those in the Amazon or in Nicaragua.
Every stay at SLEEP’N can be part of this transformation. Choosing not to request your room to be cleaned for one day means we’ll donate €5 to Reforesta to plant more trees, joining forces for a greener planet.
At SLEEP’N, staying in style also means doing so with a conscience. Because small gestures create great forests, and every guest can play a leading role in this story.
